MIND West Gate integrated station
Urban Planning+ Landscape Architecture
The new integrated TPL station is the heart of sustainable mobility in West Gate. A meeting and starting point, the new West Gate terminal connects with its surroundings by intersecting three simple geometries. The first rectangular covering plate houses the station: it is a welcoming space with services and refreshments where users can stay during waiting times.
The second geometry can be compared to a strip, a long covering that intersects all stops up to MOLO and shelters users as they move between the local TPL and coaches. Finally, the third geometry is the central pivot, a triangle that serves as an informational hub, a visible element from all points of the complex that facilitates orientation and guides users in a practical and dynamic approach to the entire MIND sector.
