Magazzini MAXXI

Urban Planning + Architecture + Landscape Design

The proposed extension embodies a deep integration of urban and landscape architectural design. Its primary goal aligns with the broader regeneration process initiated by the MAXXI, aiming to continue the revitalization of this area of Rome. The project expands the scope of development with a renewed focus on some of the most pressing issues of our time, such as sustainability and innovation.
At the heart of the proposal is a new building required by the tender, which serves as the flagship architectural element for the entire project. The design seeks to establish a strong and meaningful relationship with the existing MAXXI and its surroundings, creating an extension that responds to contemporary challenges without distorting the past. It aims to complement the iconic structure, fostering a direct and harmonious dialogue between the new and the old.
