L.EX. - Landtag Extension
Architecture + Landscape Design + Urban Planning
The L.EX. project is an extension of the old parliament building in Düsseldorf, encompassing both landscape and architectural design. This significant undertaking has transformed the entire riverfront through the creation of a new park and the introduction of striking architectural forms.
The core of the project centers around the circular shape of the new tower. As an extension of the historic Landtag, the building will primarily house office spaces. The connection between the two structures is achieved through a sculptural, bridge-like form that gracefully spans the landscape, integrating the new and old elements seamlessly.
